So as we all head into the new year we are all faced with the concept of New Years resolutions. Oh I have made
them before only to fall short of my goal as life (family and work) take over my good intentions. So this year I decided to get my friend Angela involved in my New Year resolution so that I have to be accountable to someone other than myself. Oh, I guess this would be a good place to tell you what my New Years Resolutionis.........well the plan is to be
physically active for a minimum of 30 minutes for all 365 days of the year. That is right every single day of 2012. So now you might be asking why are you blogging about it? Well Angela and I were trying to figure out how to keep each other on track, she lives in London and I live in Collingwood. We tried google calendar but that was really frustrating and then Angela sent me an excel sheet that had dates on it and that is not that much fun. So when I was snowshoeing the other day I thought to myself maybe I should blog about our efforts - make us accountable not only to each other but anyone else who might be interested in what we are up to. So that is the beginning of this blog I hope you enjoy and I look forward to your comments.

The Weekend Days 105 & 106

The Weekend - I always look so forward to the weekend and it always ends up being so busy - not as relaxing as I would like :)

Saturday was a bit of a relaxing day - I slept in which does not happen a lot.  Then had a busy day of running errands.  Ended up fitting in a 30 minute run with Sarah before dinner and drinks.

Sunday Day 106 - slept in again (just so you know a sleep in for me is 7:30am).  Participated in this great training session at the field at St Mary's school.  This was a training session for the up coming   Met Con Race  being held at Blue Mountain Resort on June 1-3, 2012. The website says that the "Met Con Blue Mountain Adventure Race is the most insane 5km mountain obstacle/adventure race on the planet! Are you ready for 13 gruelling obstacles, 1400 punishing feet of incline, rocky creeks, hills, mud, snow, ice pools, fire, smoke, aliens and Bigfoot?"  Does that not sound fun???  I have not officially signed up yet and I am not sure that I will but I have decided to join the training days on Sunday mornings - lots of friends are doing it, so the social aspect, we all bring our kids - so they get fresh air and exercise too and well it is someone telling you what to do so you just go with the flow - makes it easier :)

Sean and I also got out for an hour ride on our road bikes.   We went out just before dinner and tried out a new route.  It was really fun and there was not much traffic on the back roads so we got to chat and catch up!  We are liking the new bikes.  Oh and we bought a paddle board today - it is currently our coffee table in our living room - we (the entire Rennie family) are looking forward to getting out on the Georgian Bay soon.
