So as we all head into the new year we are all faced with the concept of New Years resolutions. Oh I have made
them before only to fall short of my goal as life (family and work) take over my good intentions. So this year I decided to get my friend Angela involved in my New Year resolution so that I have to be accountable to someone other than myself. Oh, I guess this would be a good place to tell you what my New Years Resolutionis.........well the plan is to be
physically active for a minimum of 30 minutes for all 365 days of the year. That is right every single day of 2012. So now you might be asking why are you blogging about it? Well Angela and I were trying to figure out how to keep each other on track, she lives in London and I live in Collingwood. We tried google calendar but that was really frustrating and then Angela sent me an excel sheet that had dates on it and that is not that much fun. So when I was snowshoeing the other day I thought to myself maybe I should blog about our efforts - make us accountable not only to each other but anyone else who might be interested in what we are up to. So that is the beginning of this blog I hope you enjoy and I look forward to your comments.

Day 62 & 63 - Skiing and Hockey Fun!!!!

Day 62 - Friday Collingwood Ski Club Ladies Day

The day started with a fabulous breakfast at the Collingwood Ski Club and then a few hours of great skiing with some great ladies.  Also you never know who you might meet up with on the hills on ladies day - we found some vikings who were out skiing in the great white north!

The afternoon included a great and fast up hill snow shoe before a night of great food, drinks and dancing.

Day 63 - Hockey Mania

This day included 4 kid hockey games - yes 4 games - 2 kids - 2 different towns - 2 playoff games. What a stressful day - If nerves and cheering counted as physical activity I would have hours under my belt. Kade's team (7 year olds) had their semi final game first thing Saturday morning and it was an end of your seat type of game - they managed to pull of a win in the third period of sudden death over time - yes stressful.  Matthew's team (9 &10 year olds) had to win their game today to continue in the playoffs - they were playing a team that killed them earlier in the week and we were going into the game after playing 2 games in a tournament early in the day.  Those boys dug deep and came out with their guns a blazing and I think shocked the other team (including us their parents) and won 5-2 to keep themselves a live.  So with all that hockey I did not have a lot of time for myself today but don't worry I still managed to fit in a 30 minute brisk walk before heading out for the evening with some DIVA ladies to enjoy a little swiss fun - thanks ladies!
